"Auto-PyQuest" challenges participants to explore Python’s automation capabilities by solving real-world tasks creatively. The event enhances problem-solving and debugging skills, encouraging innovative approaches to automation.

Event Rules

1. Eligibility: Participants should have a basic understanding of Python. 2. Time Limits: Strict adherence to the given time frames for each round. 3. Code Submission: All solutions should be submitted before the time limit ends. 4. Fair Play: External resources can be consulted during the event, but plagiarism or direct copying of code is not allowed. 5. Presentation (Round 2): Participants will get 5 minutes to present their automation enhancements.

Judging Criteria

Round 1: Quick Fix Challenge: Participants will be judged based on the following: 1. Time Efficiency:The speed with which errors and issues in the script are resolved. 2. Accuracy of Fixes:How well the participants identify and fix the script's issues and ensuring all functionalities work as intended. 3. Comprehensiveness:The number of issues resolved or improved beyond the basic requirements. 4. Code Quality:Proper use of Python best practices, such as clean and readable code. Round 2: Creative Automator: Participants will be judged based on: 1. Originality and Creativity:Uniqueness and innovation in the added features or improvements to the task. 2. Utility and Functionality:Practicality and usefulness of the enhanced automation in real-world scenarios and ensuring all enhancements work without errors. 3. Code Quality:Well-structured, readable, and efficient code and proper use of comments, variable naming conventions, and Python best practices. 4. Presentation and Explanation:Clarity and impact of the 5-minute pitch and the ability to explain the logic and benefits of the added features effectively.
