Cargo Race (Drone racing with payload)
AS/AE | December 20 - 12:00 PM
Cargo Race challenges participants to navigate drones through obstacles while carrying payloads to a target destination. Piloting skills and prompt, stable payload delivery are crucial, with QR code scanning used to identify precise locations. Judging focuses on delivery finesse, including height, stability, and minimal impact on cargo. Techniques for stable payload deployment add to the event’s complexity.
Event Rules
1. The Pilot has to take off from the launch pad. 2. Take the quadcopter through the obstacles placed in the arena with the payload. 3. The pilot will be allowed to walk around the arena within a certain clearance from the obstacles. 4. A maximum of 2 attempts will be given to the participants. 5. Depending on the number of payloads it carries, points will be awarded. 6. Crash landing the object to the ground will not be permitted. 7. Complete the round with the lowest possible time and maximum points to get qualified for Round 2. 8. The number of drones to be qualified for Round 2 will be subjected to the number of registrations. 9. Competition will be held in 1 vs 1 format as per the participant standings. 10. Qualifying drones are given a different set of hurdles to compete against each other with a different set of payloads. 11. The winners of the 1 vs 1 round will race for finalizing the top 3 positions. 12. Participants can compete in a team of 2-4 members.
Judging Criteria
The Participants are judged based on: 1.Elegance of payload delivery based on height, stability, and impact. 2.Innovative techniques in cargo holding and deployment. 3.Points for higher payload capacity and minimum hovering distance during delivery. 4.Completing the round in the least time with maximum points for qualification. 5.Round 2 evaluates performance in 1 vs. 1 races with varied payloads.
