Welcome to the VertechX Race competition, where teams showcase their innovative designs in a thrilling race. The competition will feature a range of custom-built cars, each designed out manoeuvre their opponents in a high-speed time-based competition. The competition will feature a variety of rules and regulations that teams must adhere to, such as size and weight restrictions for the cars. The cars run on chemical-based fuels. The Chem-E-Car competition promises to be a spectacular event that you should not want to miss!
Event Overview
Design Specifications:
1. The car must totally fit into a 30 x 30 x 30 (L x B x H).
2. Participants are allowed to use only given materials. Teams are not allowed to use any items which are not given by the coordinators.
3. Using Lego kits or any other ready-made mechanism for the construction of the cars is strictly not allowed. Violation of the stated rule will imply disqualification of the particular team.
4. No Engines or Batteries are allowed, only chemical based can fuel the car.
Rules:
1. Only the time measured by organizers will be final and considered for scoring. Time measured by the participants by any means will not be accepted in any case.
2. The participating team should prepare a moving car.
3. They have to use chemicals as their fuel.
4. During the event, the organisers shall not be responsible for any damage caused to the car.
5. Competition rules will be informed on spot considering various parameters of the event.
6. In case of any disputes or discrepancies, the decision of the organizers or judges shall be treated as final and binding on all.
7. Readymade cars are not allowed.
8. If model is not working, we are not responsible for it.
9. The chemicals required and the amount should be decided by the participants.
10. The participants must register 10-12 days prior with chemicals, amount and reaction taking place.
11. Explosive reactions are not allowed by any means. The registration will be not considered if this is the case.
Round Specification:
1. There will be 2 rounds.
2. One will be qualifying round and other one will be final round.
3. For qualifying round the car has to travel for 10 seconds where the distance and acceleration will be the deciding factors.
4. For final round the car should carry a weight of 200grams and travel for 10 seconds where the distance and acceleration will be the deciding factors to select the winner.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Each team can have a maximum of 3 members and minimum of 2 members.
2. Each member of the team must carry their valid Identity card of his/her institution.
3. Should abide by all the rules and Design Specification mentioned.
