Civionics is the combination of civil engineering with electronics engineering. Nowadays construction automation is a well-accepted phenomenon in many developed countries. The range of construction automation is broad and covers all stages of construction from the preparation of construction materials to the operation and maintenance of projects. The use of construction automation method makes the construction process continuous as it tackles with the problem like shortage of skilled labour, poor weather condition. The base of the method is hydraulic machines. Design and fabricate a locomotive, mobile syringe actuated mechanical bot, capable of lifting the material.

Event Overview

Design Specification:
1. The dimensions of the base of the bot should not exceed 30 cm x 30 cm. However, there is no restraint on the height and weight of the bot.
2. The bot should function only on hydraulic forces except for the locomotion for which electronic components can be used (It can be wired or non- wired)

Rules and Round Specification:

Round 1:
1. The participating teams will drive their robot individually on track, for the preliminary
round.
2. The penalties and scoring points will be informed on spot
3. The track may contain few stable obstacles.
4. The robot should be able to go through all the challenges on the track.
5. The robot should be able to lift the materials and place it from the starting point to the ending point.
6. The time taken to complete the path will be taken as the qualifying time.
7. Each time the robot touches the boundaries, there will be a penalty of 5 seconds.
8. Hand interference may lead to penalty of 5 seconds.
9. The other penalties and scoring points will be informed on spot.
10. Exceeding track limits, skipping of checkpoints will lead to disqualification and no warnings will be given.
11. Readymade toys/bots are not allowed.
12. Technical time of 90 seconds.
13. Robots should made be as per the given specifications.
14. The fastest and most balanced robot will win.
15. The teams that finish the race by completing all the hurdles/obstacles, will be declared as winners. In case of any technical problem, the teams will be allowed to make modifications to their robot and the teams will be penalized by 10% of their total score in the second attempt.
16. Unethical behaviour will lead to disqualification. Faculty co-ordinators have all the rights to take the final decision for any matter during the event.
17. Judge’s decision will be considered as final.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Each team can consist of 3-6 members.
2. Each team will have only one robot.
3. Each participant should come with their valid college ID card.

Cash rewards for winners:
First: ₹7,500
Second: ₹4,000
