The Cyber Detective provides hands-on experience in digital forensics and OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence). Participants will use real-world investigative skills in ethical hacking, data analysis, and digital problem-solving to uncover information using publicly accessible data and forensic techniques.

Event Rules

Reporting: Participants must document their findings and submit a report explaining the methods used.

Judging Criteria

Round 1: Geolocation Hunt: Participants will be judged based on the following criteria: 1. Accuracy of Location Identified:Precision in identifying the exact location based on the clues provided. 2. Methodology:Proper justification of the steps taken to derive the location. 3. Time Efficiency:Completion of the task within the shortest possible time without compromising accuracy. 4. Documentation:Clarity and comprehensiveness in explaining the approach used to identify the location. Round 2: Identity Unveil: Participants will be judged based on: 1. Completeness of Identity Uncovered:The extent to which the participant uncovers the person’s identity, such as full name, associated accounts, and additional details. 2. Ethical and Legal Compliance:Adherence to ethical guidelines, avoiding unauthorized access or illegal techniques. 3. Methodology:Proper justification of the steps taken to derive the location. 4. Time Management:Ability to deliver accurate results within the allocated time. 5. Report Presentation:Quality of the report detailing methods, tools, and findings in a structured and logical manner.
