Electronics & Communication
The robot competing in the Line Follower competition aims to complete a predetermined course as quickly as feasible. Line Follower is a competition where the competitors construct their own robots, there are no size restrictions. The robots will be battery-powered and autonomous. In this contest is for a robot to follow a black line on a white background, without losing the line, and navigating several degree turns. The robot to complete the course in the shortest period of time while accurately tracking the course line from start to finish wins.
Event Overview
Design Specifications:
1. A bot must fit inside a 25 centimeter's wide and 25 centimeter's high cube at any point in time. Maximum weight should not exceed 2.5 Kgs (including battery).
2. Wired system is not allowed and a battery must be on board.
3. If the battery is puffed or damaged, then the team is immediately disqualified.
4. The electric voltage anywhere in the machine should not be more than 12.4 V DC at any point in time for each robot.
5. Teams have to make their own arrangements for charging the battery.
6. Any type of IR Sensor can be used and the max count of the IR sensor is 4.
7. Only microcontrollers are allowed.
8. Ready-made or LEGO kits are strictly prohibited and computer vision techniques should not be used.
9. Code has to be uploaded again in front of the coordinators.
10. If a team claims that their robot is affected by the other team’s robot in any way they must show proof/evidence of the interference. Any interference must be confirmed by a Referee if a claim is placed by the other team.
11. The robot should be autonomous. It can be constructed and programmed in a way that its movement is not limited to only one direction and must move in all directions.
Rules:
1. Only the time measured by organizers will be final and considered for scoring. Time measured by the participants by any means will not be accepted in any case.
