GEN-Z Ener-Z is a technical event that will demonstrate participants' new ideas as well as their ability to translate them into a real-time model for electric vehicle charging. This competition will be a race to charge a specific Li-Ion battery. The event will include a number of criteria and restrictions that teams must follow, such as battery type, battery rating, initial charge levels, etc. Round 1 will test the teams understanding about their designed charging circuit and Round 2 will put their designed ciruict to test for charging the battery faster

Event Overview

DESIGN SPICIFICATION
1. Battery Dimensions (L*W*H) – 98*43*52 in mm
2. Nominal Voltage – 24V
3. True Capacity – 7.5AH
4. Standard Charging Current – 3.5A to 5A
5. Max Charging Current – 6A
6. Standard Charging Temperature – 0°C to 45°C

Rules:
1 .Only the time measured by the organizers will be used for scoring. The time measured by the participants will not be taken into account in any way.
2. In announcing the winners, the judge's decision will be final.
3. The organizers are not liable for any charger damage that occurs during the competition.
4. Participants should bring their charging circuits.
5. Battery will be provided by the organizers and for any damage to the battery , participants will be responsible.
6. Participants must shield the battery terminals from a direct short, which would result in a battery fire. Failure to do so would result in immediate disqualification.
7. The organizers have complete authority to disqualify the team if they believe the circuit is unsafe.

Round Specification

Round 1:
1. Participants will exhibit their charging circuits via a poster presentation.
2. Each team will be graded based on their invention, battery pack modeling, battery protection features while charging, and knowledge of the circuit created.
Round 2:
1. Before beginning the second round, all teams' batteries will be kept at a certain charge level, which will be determined on the spot based on several factors.
2. In this round, teams will be requested to charge the battery for a set amount of time using their charging circuit, and the battery charge level will be measured at the end.
3. Each squad will be given marks based on the charge levels.
4. By combining both rounds, the winner will be announced.

Eligibility:
1. Each team can have a minimum for 2 members and a maximum of 4 members. All members of a team should belong to the same institute.
2. Each member of the team must carry a valid Identity card from his/her institution.
3. The team should abide by all the rules and design Specification mentioned.

Cash rewards for winners:
First: ₹15,000
Second: ₹7,500
