8-Hour Software Hackathon

The 8-Hour Software Hackathon is designed as a fast-paced and challenging coding event, encouraging participants to showcase their innovation, technical skills, and teamwork. The event aims to push participants to ideate, develop, and present a functional software solution in just 8 hours, based on a theme revealed at the beginning of the event.
Event Rules
1. Theme: Adherence to the theme announced on the day of the hackathon is mandatory. 2. Time Management: Development must be completed within the 8-hour limit. 3. Originality: Only original work developed during the event is acceptable. 4. Resources: Any programming language or tools can be used, and internet access is provided. Participants must bring their own devices. 5. Conduct: Professionalism and respect are expected towards everyone at the event. 6. Submission: Final submissions must be uploaded to GitHub by the end of the 8-hour period, with hourly pushes. Late submissions will not be accepted. 7. Judges' Decision: The judges’ decision is final. Any disputes must be reported to the event coordinator within 30 minutes after the results.
Judging Criteria
The judging panel will include experienced professionals and academics from the software development and technology fields. They will ensure a fair evaluation based on predefined criteria. 1. Innovation: Creativity and originality of the solution. 2. Functionality: Technical quality and effectiveness of the solution. 3. Usability: User-friendliness and design. 4. Relevance: How well the solution addresses the theme. 5. Presentation: Clarity and effectiveness of the presentation.
