Event Overview

This coding event puts one's logical ability and programming skills to the test, as one must build the quickest and most efficient solution to a given problem. It is the stage for demonstrating one's ability to 'write' flawless code. This event will provide participants the exposure in different programming languages and upskill in different technologies and ability in problem solving.

Round specifications
Round 1: Jigsaw
1. Each individual will be given a set of code snippets.
2. Participants must choose the correct output that the respective code will generate.
3. Scores will be tallied according to the correct answers given by each individual.
4. The scores of the members of a team will be added to reach the final tally.
5. Teams with the highest points will proceed to the final round.
6. Judgment criteria: Participants who decide the output quick will stand out.

Round 2: Path to WIN
1. The final round consists of a series of programming challenges of various difficulty. The team should aim to solve as many problems accurately and promptly as possible.
2. We advocate a divide and conquer method so that the entire team does not work on one topic at a time, but divides their attention.
3. Only one team contribution per problem will be permitted.
4. Teams will be provided examples of input and output, but not the input used by the judges.
5. Judgment criteria: The runtime and the output.
6. The number of accurate solutions given by a team will be used to grade them.
7. Teams may not accept help or advise from anybody who is not allowed to do so.
8. The winning team is one with the highest grade. The time will also be considered if two or more teams tie, the fastest will be declared the winners.


Rules :
1.Participants can participate individually or in a team of 2 members.
2. Laptops should be brought with active internet connection.
3. Unethical behaviour will lead to disqualification.
4. Faculty-coordinators have all the rights to take final decision for any matter during the event.
5. Judge’s decision will be considered final.


Eligibility (Team requirement):
1. The student should have his/her ID card from the respective institution.
2. Participants should have basic knowledge of Java, Python, C and R programming languages.

Cash rewards for winners:
First: ₹7,500
Second: ₹4,000
