Mechanical
This is an assembling and disassembling event. Teams are required to race bicycles from the start line to the finish line. The catch being the cycle cannot be raced when in the assembled form. This is a time-based event and has only one round.
Event Overview
Round 1:
1. A fully assembled bicycle at the start of the track must be disassembled into its components as mentioned in the guide.
2. The teams are then required to carry the components to the finish line and then reassemble the bicycle.
3. Time penalties will be added for wrong assembly or missing components. The teams that complete the task in the least time will be declared as winners.
4. The teams are permitted to bring their own tools (non-powered). Tools will also be provided at the venue.
Rules and Regulations:
1. The teams shall be provided three minutes to inspect the cycle prior to the event.
2. Each team shall be provided with a check off list containing the list of items to be disassembled. All components mentioned in the list will have to disassembled to its simplest form.
3. Only manual (non-power) tools shall be permitted
4. Teams will be noted for the time they take to re-assemble the cycle. Deviation from the correct assembly shall be penalized with time penalties added to the total time taken.
5. Basic tools required shall be provided by the organizers. Participants are also allowed to bring their own tools which shall be permitted to use after inspection
Eligibility (Team requirement):
1. This is a team event.
2. Each team should consist of a minimum of 3 members and a maximum of 6 members.
3. This is a time- based event and shall have only one round.
4. Each member must have his/her college identity card.
